About The Event
AI, blockchain, and machine learning are terms that are often used to signify disruption and cutting-edge technologies—but early results have produced more hype than results. In this session of the Regenstrief Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Forum (REEF), we have several featured companies accomplishing meaningful outcomes using data and AI, including Medial Earlysign (Israel), Roche Diagnostics (Indianapolis), and Ventech Solutions (Columbus OH) who will share their work in AI and healthcare. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Shaun Grannis, a global thought leader in health and data, who recently presented in Washington DC on the FDA’s real-world evidence (RWE) initiative, and works closely with policy makers to advance national identity management strategy.
Please join Regenstrief, panel guests and other entrepreneurs for our last REEF event of 2019. Lunch will be served. An interactive expo session after the panel will allow for attendees to network with these and other ventures working at the intersection of health and data. We are limited to 100 participants, so register early! Click here to register.
If you are working on something in AI and healthcare, please reach out in advance to Todd Saxton @ tsaxton@iu.edu or Chris Frederick @ chrfrede@regenstrief.org.
More on the presenters:
Medial EarlySign, based in Israel, has developed an AI algorithmic platform for the discovery of clinical insights that indicate the likelihood of disease from basic medical information, such as blood test results, and other EMR data.
Roche Diagnostics. Roche Indy is the North American headquarters of the world’s largest biotech company, where more than 4,000 people work together to provide insights that help people around the world manage and improve personal health conditions. We lead the industry in the development of diagnostics products for cancer, cardiac health, infectious diseases, women’s health and in diabetes management. Diagnostics informs 70 percent of clinical decisions, including the prevention, identification and treatment of diseases, and are a critical part of modern medicine as care becomes more personalized.
Ventech Solutions, headquartered in Columbus, OH, helps clients overcome the challenges of handling large volumes of health data and complex data analysis to alter the trajectory of care delivery and financing toward better healthcare while aligning cost to value. Through their work with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Ventech is implementing solutions that result in improvements to the quality of care and health outcomes for U.S. citizens.
Shaun Grannis, MD MS is the Vice President for Data and Analytics at the Regenstrief Institute and the Regenstrief Professor of Medical Informatics at the Indiana University School of Medicine. His work focuses on innovation in a variety of contexts by developing, testing, and implementing novel approaches for data integration, patient matching, predictive modeling, and other data science use cases, including developing population health analytical frameworks supporting fusion of community and social determinants of health with clinical data.
